Upgrade your existing floors with ease using our Retro Therma Milled Underfloor Heating System, designed specifically for retrofit projects. This innovative system eliminates the need for extensive construction, making it ideal for transforming your space without the hassle of major renovations.
The process involves milling precise grooves directly into your existing floor screed to accommodate UFH pipes, ensuring a seamless integration without compromising ceiling heights. Once the pipes are securely installed, the pipe is protected using a cementitious latex ready for your chosen finish, whether it’s timber, tiles, carpet, or any other covering.
Submit Your Drawings & Receive a Quote:
Send us your project drawings and enquiry, and we’ll provide a detailed quotation outlining your system requirements and costs.
Approve the Quote & Secure Your Project:
Once you’re happy with the quote, simply provide an e-signature to approve it. A 30% deposit is then required to secure your installation.
Site Visit & Preparation:
Before installation begins, our team will visit your site to assess the floor composition, confirm thermostat locations, and coordinate with your builder. We’ll also issue an electrical requirement drawing so your electrician can begin their first fix.
Professional Installation:
Our engineers will install your underfloor heating system, ensuring all pipework and manifolds are pressure-tested for quality assurance. At this stage, 65% of the contract value is due upon completion of the UFH installation.
System Setup & Commissioning:
Once your electrician and heating contractor complete their work, we’ll supply your thermostatic controls and return for commissioning. We’ll balance the system, set up thermostats, and guide you through the initial heat-up procedure. The final 5% payment is due upon commissioning.
Handover & Aftercare:
You’ll receive a full Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manual, including photos, test certificates, and warranties. To keep your system running efficiently and maintain your warranty, we recommend annual servicing. We also offer full heating system servicing, including boilers and heat pumps.
